 Disaster Supplies Kit

Basic Elements

You should create a disaster supplies kit and keep it stocked.  After all you can’t  count on immediate help from emergency crews, charities or the government.  You must be prepared to take care of yourself, especially for the first 72 hours after the storm, but emergency management officials say those who are able must be ready to keep their families fed and functioning for a week after a storm: seven days of self-reliance.

Commonly found in a disaster supplies kit.
